Processing & Postage
CAMPAIGN PLANNING
Call us in the first instance and we can plan your mail campaign together to ensure the best outcome.
A couple of extra grams in weight, or a millimetre in thickness, could cost you hundreds (or thousands) of extra dollars in postage or processing, so it’s very important to talk to us before production starts.
DIGITAL & LASER PRINTING
DIGITAL & LASER PRINTING
At Adelaide Business Bureaux we print colour digital or black only laser. Variable data can be incorporated within the production of letters, postcards, forms, flyers etc. A large range of gloss or matte paper and boards are available, from 80gsm to 300gsm.
Stock sizes available are A5 minimum to 320 x 450mm maximum for black only, or A6 minimum – 320 x 450mm maximum in colour, depending on the set-up.
INKJET ADDRESSING
We print individual name, address and barcode details directly onto envelopes, postcards or other addressing mediums. The end result is a professional looking envelope that looks like it’s been individually typed.
Sizes available include envelope (C6 to B4) and postcard (DL to A5). Other size options are available, but discussion is required as to how they are produced.
BOOKLET PRODUCTION
Short run, printed and stapled A5 and A4 booklets are available, with black only, or colour options. Our digital printing machinery and processes ensure only the most professional and eye catching finishes.
PRINT & ENVELOPE SUPPLY
We can assist if you need to produce printed envelopes, letters, inserts, flyers, newsletters and other printed material for your campaign. Our high volume supply contract rates with a number of large and small format printers and envelope suppliers, means that our clients reap the rewards by way of very competitive rates. We can ensure the printed material is suitable for processing by our machines.
DATA MANAGEMENT
The maintenance, management, manipulation, pre-sorting and barcoding of your database to achieve maximum postal discounts available. Database management and data entry is the key to success for so many different entities and firms.
Data entry involves the set-up of Graphic User Interface (GUI) and entry of coupons, response devices, forms, surveys etc. Innovative, cost efficient solutions are possible if you involve us in the initial planning of the layout and content of coupons, forms, surveys etc.
At Adelaide Business Bureaux we offer a stringent database management process which includes:

RETURN MAIL PROCESSING
ABB integrates our capabilities around mail by providing return mail document services to deliver end to end solutions. This includes Return to Sender mail removal from databases and data entry.
We efficiently process documents and maintain the integrity of your data, because we understand it is your most valuable asset. ABB can either update your mailing data or provide this information to you, enabling you to effectively manage your databases.
BARCODING
There are two types of barcoding:
- Mailing (for postal discounts)
- General (for product or client identification).
Mailing Barcodes
All client supplied data files can be allocated a barcode if there is a data match in the Australia Post ‘Postal Address File’ (PAF). A minimum of 300 bar -coded records is required to achieve postal discounts. The printing of this barcode on machine addressed letters, postcards, address sheets or any other addressing piece, is the initial step in the pre-sorting process and enables us to access greater mailing discounts for our clients.
Only barcoded mailings qualify for Pre-sort Discounts (this includes Charity Mail).
GENERAL (NON-MAILING) BARCODES
These can be printed within your merged documents for identification purposes (e.g. Reference Numbers, Share Entitlement Numbers, Membership Numbers, Product ID codes etc).
